Effective 31 August 2026. This policy covers the mobile game Nonogram Island on iOS and Android, and nothing else.
Nonogram Island has no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, your email address, your phone number, or your date of birth, and there is nowhere in the game to type them. Every puzzle you solve, every hint you spend and every setting you change is stored on your own device, and we cannot read it.
What does leave the device is limited to three things: anonymous usage statistics, advertising requests, and purchase receipts. Each one is described below, with the name of the company that receives it.
The game keeps the following in its own local storage. None of it is uploaded, backed up by us, or readable by us:
Deleting the app deletes all of it. Because it is never uploaded, we have no copy to restore and no copy to hand over. If your device backs itself up to iCloud or to Google, that backup belongs to Apple or Google and is governed by their terms, not ours.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played, so we know which puzzles are too hard and where players stop. The events we send are a fixed, short list:
first_open, tutorial_step, puzzle_complete, mistake_made, daily_openedrewarded_shown, rewarded_completed, hint_rewarded, retry_after_fail_rewardedstreak_freeze_bought, streak_freeze_usedThey carry only what the name suggests: the platform, the difficulty and size of the grid, a tutorial step number, a streak length. We do not set a user identifier, and we never attach anything you typed, because there is nothing in the game to type. Firebase generates its own app instance ID; it identifies an installation, not a person, and it is reset when you reinstall the app.
The game shows a banner outside the puzzle screen, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch in exchange for a hint. These are served by Google AdMob. To serve them, AdMob receives your device's advertising identifier, its IP address, and coarse technical information such as the device model and operating system version.
You control this.In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form appears before any personalised advertising, and you can decline. On iOS, a separate system prompt asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites; if you decline, it does not. You can change your advertising choices at any time from the game's Settings screen, and you can remove advertising entirely with the one-time « Remove ads » purchase.
Payment happens entirely inside the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number, your billing address, or your store account. Apple and Google tell us only that a purchase succeeded.
We use RevenueCat to validate those receipts and to restore your purchases on a new device. RevenueCat receives the receipt and an anonymous identifier it generates itself, along with the platform and the app version.
Reminders about your daily puzzle and your streak are scheduled on your device, by your device. There is no push server and no message sent to you from us. Nothing about your play reaches us in order to produce them. Turn them off in your device settings and nothing else changes.
On launch, the game asks kenantech.com for a small configuration file, so we can adjust things like advertising frequency without shipping an update. The request sends no data about you or your progress. As with any web request, our server sees the connecting IP address in its logs. If the request fails, the game uses its built-in defaults and carries on.
Nonogram Island is rated for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to the address below and we will delete it.
Under the GDPR and comparable laws, you may ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion, or a copy of it, and you may object to processing. In practice, the fastest route is in your own hands: your progress is deleted by deleting the app, and your advertising choices are changed in Settings. For anything held by Google or RevenueCat, contact us and we will pass the request on.
The legal basis is your consent for advertising and analytics where consent is required, and our legitimate interest in a working, measurable game elsewhere.
If we change what the game collects, we change this page and move the effective date at the top. The date is the honest way to tell whether you are reading the version that applies to the build on your phone.
